ezgo pedal box micro switch

I have a 1999 ezgo converted to 48v with and an axe 4855 controller a mzj400amp and sw202 f&r switching. we keep burning the pedal box micro switch with in seconds of testing the forward/ reverse operation of cart. any suggestions?

Possibly the solenoid diode on the small terminals is on backwards. To check if this is the cause disconnect one end and try pressing the gas. If the PB-MS survives you found the problem.

Installed new mzj 400 and new diode with stripe on positive small terminal and when you press pedal it works but as soon as you go to reverse and back the ms fries again! Not sure what to check next? I have the sw202 installed as well for that operation

looking at the Alltrax AXE wiring diagram, there is a second diode, rated at 6 amps that goes between the charger interlock (port) and the fwd / rev micro switches. check and see if this diode is shorted.
