IMHO, there is no advantage at all in rotating batteries! Each one will receive the amount of charging current that the weakest battery will allow. This has no relation as to where the battery is in the series. If you do use one battery in the pack for 12V power, charging it separately every now and then with a 12V charger would be beneficial. Just charge it until your specific gravity values are close to the rest of your batteries.
