1998 club car receptacle fuse

i have a 1998 CC 48v that reads 7.3 or 7.6 v per battery and 45.3v across the back. I just replaced OBC because of charger not kicking on issue and after reading several threads concluded it was a bad OBC. Problem i got now is when i plug charger in it kicks on and hums but am p meter clicks up to maybe 1 or 2 amps and then goes to 0 instantly. tryed to different chargers and same thing happens. after reading a few more post i thinking its the receptacle fuse, question is how can i tell if pack is receiving the charge through the receptacle or is there something else keeping it from charging the pack. also i did leave charger on for 45 minutes just to rule out amp meter break but still same volts across the pack

I think it might be a bad rectifier in the charger but, lets wait for TahoeDawg....

The easy way is with charger plugged up and on take a voltmeter and see what the voltage reading is. Then unplug it and take a reading. Also the fuse on the charger is visible should be.

Here is what it should look like.





You can check the fuse by putting the red lead inside the plug on the wire to the fuse and leave the other one on battery pack - and see if it shows voltage.
You will need to disconnect all the wires from the charger plug from the batteries to do these checks.
You can take your meter and put it on continuity, and check the connection and fuse also.
Put one lead inside charger plug and the other lead on the other end of the wire to see if it makes conntact. You need to check all three wires on the plug. The little grey wire is fused also which is the wire that tells the charger to come on. Check that fuse also and make sure it's tied to the negative battery as well.
