Re: E-Z-Go recall
30,000 buggies are now illegal to sell because one guy chipped a tooth?

Re: E-Z-Go recall
I'm sure alcohol had nothing to do with it.

Re: E-Z-Go recall
It said it was a passenger. Probably chipped the tooth on his beer bottle when they hit the curb.

Re: E-Z-Go recall
Go to the EZGO link in the article and check out the serial numbers and dates of manufacturer.
My 2008 PDS wasn't built during the Aug-2012 to Feb-2013 time-frame, so I probably won't have a SWAT team from U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission showing up at my place to confiscate my cart, but it wouldn't surprise me all that much if they did. Whatever happened to common sense? |

Re: E-Z-Go recall
We don't need no stinkin' common sense, we got Nanny (Uncle Sam) to take care of us.
To think of how many clunker cars I used to drive at highway speeds with all kinds of manufacturing and/or poor maintenance items from previous owners. The one thing that Nanny used to do in Georgia was to require annual safety inspections, which included brake lights and head lights. After they eliminated the requirements, I now see a lot more cars with cock-eyed headlights which blind you. Probably a DIY job where they attempted to remove the headlight with the adjustment screw. |

Re: E-Z-Go recall
The "cannot be sold" part just means cannot be sold until recall work completed. Lets not make a mountain of a mole-hill here. If your steering wheel feels loose, it probably is, DUH! Dont grab the wheel and try pulling it off either, lest ye recieve a face full of steering wheel. Any one interested in checking their own nuts may do so by removing the score card holder from steering wheel, and checking the only nut behind there for tightness... Let the fun begin

Too easy. Waaay too easy. Had to be totally intentional, right CG? Joking aside, would self servicing satisfy the recall? |
