Default Stereo plan - Good or Bad???

1998 CC DS - I was thinking of fabbing a plate for the LH & RH cubby and installing a 6" or so speaker on either side and in the RH plate installing a stereo towards the center - Anyone done it this way? Pictures?

I still am waiting for my cart so not sure how much room there is so just thinking out loud.

that's exactly what I was thinking - Let me know how you like it when finished. How big are the speakers?

It's a hell of a lot cheaper to fab up your own panels, etc.. But depending on what you're going after in the long run. They also make fitted dash panels.

Looks like you can get a variety of custom dashes from ebay in the $120 range. I'm all for a DIY project but you may be money ahead after time and material to just buy a ready made dash.
