Default 95 TXT heavy duty leaf spring issue

quick question, I have a 95 ezgo txt with a rear seat kit. It was bottoming out on the left rear, so I ordered the heavy duty 3 leaf spring kit for the rear with all new bushings. After about 10 hours, it bottomed again, and I had to manually lift the cart up to get the spring to come back (it was like it was sprung the other direction, so when I lifted an inch or two it "popped" back up. Is there anything else that I am missing in the suspension system that could cause a heavy duty leaf spring to fail like this? I can swap the right and left leaf springs, and I have the same problem, on the left side, so it is most definitely a problem with the cart, not the spring.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

there has got to be something wrong with the way its set up. take some pictures of both ends of the spring so we can see how you have them installed.

Agreed. No way should those springs be weak enough to allow it to pop back and forth like that. What kind of shocks are you running? Are the hangers installed correctly? A pic of the whole spring, with the wheel removed, would be helpful too.

Shocks are stock. Cart is at the campground, and I'm not heading out there for about a week. I will see if someone out there can get some pictures for me. Stay tuned.

Thought are maybe something is bent? Has this always been your cart? Has it always don't this? Is it possible someone repaired it and welded the mounts in the wrong spot? But I would think mounting them would be a huge pain and near impossible if it was too far off.

I just bought the cart last year. In my quick inspections of the mounts it doesn't appear that anything has been modified. The odd thing is, it worked like a champ for the first 6-8 hours or so. Had 4 people on the cart and it didn't give at all at first. It's been this way since I bought it, which is why I bought the heavy duty springs.

I can't imagine the cart having enough weight even with people on to turn a spring backwards? But clearly your saying it's doing it???

I would take a measurement of the two mounts on the frame. I suspect one side is longer than the other. Your statement about lifting the cart manually makes me think the shackle is flipping up. That would indicate a mount was moved or incorrect spring/shackle length.

I'm with Helirich.... almost 20 years in the golf car service business now and I have never seen a rear leaf spring re-arch in 10 hours...... And definitely never seen one that could be "pulled" or " lifted" back to correct arch. Something has to be going on with the shackles, either the springs you ordered are shorter than stock or they are for a different vehicle?

Just a side note, but where did you get 3 leaf HD springs? Usually the HD springs for a Medalist/TXT (which I assume your car to be as you said it is a 1995) are designed with 4 leafs. I believe the 3 Leaf HD springs are usually made for the Marathon model (which if memory serves me right are shorter that the TXT springs)
