48 vs 36 volt
Can someone please tell me what the difference is between a 36 volt and 48 volt txt golf cart? And please don't say 12 volts. Is it faster? Does the charge last longer? Is there a difference between a 48 volt that has 4 12 volt battery's vs 6 8 volts? Thank you for the help

48v
yes charge will last a little longer on a normal run faster if controller is upgraded 12v batteries will not go as far on a charge as 8v batteries |

Re: 48 vs 36 volt
with 48v it is possible to deliver 33% more energy when sudden/bursts of power is needed. the stock 48v txt controller is not super powerful (but neither is the stock 36v controller). if we are talking strictly 48v "new txt" sepex cars and 36v PDS sepex cars the 48v is better in stock form. both can get you into the 23-24 mph range with a controller upgrade. since you mentioned "12v class" batteries, i think you may be lumping the RXV into the same comparison (it was not offered in 36v) . it does not compare directly, it has a AC drive system and uses "regen braking" very heavily (thats its only form of "service brakes" & puts alot more energy back into the batteries). if you want to talk RXV with 4x 12v batteries vs rxv with 6x 8v batteries, the 6x 8v setup equals a bigger "gas tank". ezgo did not make a 48v Txt with 4x 12v batteries, no manufacturer used 3x 12v batteries in a 36v system, and the results of doing that would not be good (poor range & overall battery life).
