Used to be a business in Painted Post NY that made 4x4 kits but they closed in 2014. From looking at the website it was taken over by

I looked at a set of those.....but the one's I looked at you couldn't put front brakes on. That was a big negative for me.

Could you not use the motors themselves as dynamic brakes?

I honestly don't know. But I use my cart for hunting and some of the hills and "mountain paths" are really steep. When I need to slow down or stop, I need heavy braking power. OTOH, with a limited slip, I've never found the real need for 4WD. But, thats just me.

I really thought about trying one of those several years ago, but practicality won out. With a winch on the front, I would so seldom need 4wd that it just wasn't worth the expense and trouble. But I have thought that one of those kits with an output shaft on the rear axle would be the way I would wanna do 4wd. Good luck if you decide to do it.
