Trying to decode my serial #
Hey yall. This is my first post. I am trying to decode my serial number. The guy I got it from just said it's a 98 with a box on the back, front guard and lifted. Number is 1116543 manufacturers # is J398. I want to sell or trade for a cart that isn't lifted because of my back. I had back surgery and sometimes it is hard to get up in it to take a ride. I just want to know what I got. Idk if it's a workhorse or a txt lifted with a box. Thanks Greg from West Ga

Yes you are right it is a 98. It looks to me like a lifted TXT with a utility box.

Re: Trying to decode my serial #
Thanks LukeL. That's what I think but I'm not forsure. I had a lifted ezgo and a lifted Yamaha in 2004. The subdivision we moved to said we couldn't have 4wheelers so we traded a guy for them. They were cool but the kids missed their 4wheelers. We hated the subdivision cause of the "we are better than you" kind of people. So we sold and moved lol. That was a year of hell lol. Now that I'm a pawpaw I want/need a golf cart to ride the grandkids around. I traded a guy my new boat I used once for this cart. Wife and my back surgeon actually made me lol cause the first time I took it out I fell out and thought I messed my back up again. All was ok but I was told never again and I agreed lol. It was a Jon boat setup that's why I flipped. Anyway I traded for this cart and it really helps me get around and I can ride and check my land now. But I think I would be better with just a regular cart. On bad back days I have problems getting on it with it lifted so going to sell but I don't know what to ask for it and exactly what it is. I don't want to ask 2500 and it be a 1500 cart. Any suggestions on price from a few people would be awesome. It has scratches but everything is within 2 yrs old. Batteries, F/W control, throttle sensor and solenoid so it's good to go. Thanks

Re: Trying to decode my serial #
can you not just take the lift kit off and carry on using it, all you would probably need is a standard front axle and maybe smaller tyres. Surely someone wanting a lift kit could trade you with the parts, costs neither one of you any cash!!!
If you can find someone wanting your lift, you may be able to get them to swap the parts over to save your back too. |

Re: Trying to decode my serial #
I thought about that and considered it but there may be someone with a normal cart with a back seat that is wanting one like I got. Or I'll just sell it and look around for another. I've only had it bout 6 or 7 weeks so it's not like I have any sentimental memories with it. I am always buying/selling/trading stuff so I'll probably end up selling and move on to something else lol
