Default Txt basket case rebuild suggestions

Bought a 1998 TXT 36V at auction, needs a lot but runs. Want to build something nice and not spend a lot. Any ideas on a direction for my rebuild?

Post some pictures of it if you can. Also check out scottyb's website http://www.cartsunlimited.net/. You will find everything you need to know about upgrading your cart. I would start with the batteries and make sure they are good then go from there.

Check the frame for rust before you start spending money...

You need to decide if you want a low rider, stock height or a lift. Are you planning on mainly driving on pavement and grassy areas, or mud and trails. 2 people or 4, pull trailers or no, 13mph or 35mph?

Once you know what you want to do with your cart or how you want to use it people on the forum can help you achieve that.

8 years ago I purchased a "frame up" build of a 2000 TXT. I don't regret the buy as the cart has held up very well (proper maintenance and even more upgrades) over the last 8 years of hunting use in hot and very cold (5 degrees at times). The year of the cart is no biggie as long (as was pointed out above) as the frame is solid.
