thanks, so I'm trying to understand, when ppl bypass the reed switch, don't they just cut it out and reconnect the wires... or do they cut it off completely and just run a jumper from the + to the f/r switch... either way would work and seems cleaner to just run a jumper from the + thanks again!!!

Both ways work just fine. Going to the + post eliminates wire length, but some say you don't need too many terminals stacked up on the battery post.
