Default New batteries/ Alltrax 300 and cart stutters when accelerating

So I just installed new Trojan 875 batteries and an alltrax 300 in my 2013 club car precedent. My cart will reach top speed only for 10 seconds or so before slowing down considerably. The speed just keeps going in and out. It feels like not enough “juice” is getting to the motor. It’ll get to about 20 mph then stutter down to 10. The speed is just inconsistent at all times. Could anyone assist me here in what might be the issue?

Possible solenoid issue?
Maybe breaking the batteries in?

I swear that sounds like an MCOR issue but with a new controller, there could be a programming issue.

Just for the heck of it, try cutting the key off, pumping the pedals 35-30 times and then drive it again and see if it is any different.

Also make sure your batteries are completely charged (a new set should be 51+ vdc) before you drive it.

That would make sense. I don’t think it’s the batteries or controller because with my old batteries/ controller it did the same thing, just not to this effect because the top speed was slower.

I’ll try getting a full charge and trying your first tip out and see if it gets any better.

Thank you

Or it could be the speed sensor signal is bad.... you can un-check limit speed in the controller program, then if the problem goes away you know that was it, or not.

Speed sensor failure and MCOR failure are both likely symptoms. You can identify either of these issues with the Alltrax Toolkit software.

Thanks for the replies everyone!

So if I load the software up it will tell me if the mcor and speed sensor are bad?

The "toolkit" software will show the throttle percentage so you can see if you are getting 100% or if it is jumpy simply by putting the cart in neutral and working or holding the pedal while watching the rate bar.

The speed limit control can be turned off which basically tells the controller to ignore the speed sensor signal. If this eliminates the complaint then you know the speed sensor or the speed sensor wires are at fault.

The toolkit program is free at Alltraxinc.com
Be sure to download and read the toolkit manual.
I hope this helps

Supposedly the stock solenoid can handle the XCT300 control but The peak output is 350 amps.
I used the SW180 200a with a 800a peak.
