Re: electric car won't go
OP said he replaced solenoid, so I am assuming new solenoid is good.
He said first one wouldn't click and new one has a "lite" click. The points me more toward vglide/Mcor problem |

Re: electric car won't go
grounding the white wire does nothing. I already have replaced the solenoid. What is the ''vglide/mcor'' ? and where is it ?

Re: electric car won't go
MCOR or vglide is your throttle controller. I do not know which one you have.
MCOR is located under cart it is connected to accelerator pedal. It is a little black box. If you have vglide, it is located on top of frame in battery compartment. It looks like a 1/4 circle. It is connected to accelerator by a rod. |

Re: electric car won't go
then it is the little black box under the cart, off to the side of the pedal, with 2 waterproof connectors. I removed the box, gently ''cracked'' it open , and saw a circuit board inside inside. so, I glued it closed and put it back

Re: electric car won't go
Unplug the two pin connector from the MCOR and jump out the connector with a paper clip or a small piece of wire. It will most likely be a blue wire and green wire connector. If it runs with the jumper in place, then your MCOR has failed.

Re: electric car won't go
His cart serial# is A9643 - which means (if it hasn't been replaced) it is either a CVP (continuously variable potentiometer) OR a Multistep - but not an MCOR unless someone has updated it. CVP and Multi can be dismantled and serviced (possibly).
I've attached wiring diagrams for both versions built in 1996 - and the manual pages for both (potential) potentiometer types. Edit: There is an external microswitch on the CVP - if its failed, that might stop progress entirely. |

Re: electric car won't go
Oh, no doubt, I knew you were helping, and I was on your page until he stated it had an MCOR (black box under it next to the pedal) so that is why I was showing him how to bypass/jumper it out for testing....
