Gps/speedometer
So i would like to be able to keep a track on what kind of mileage im getting on a pack and speeds to if i can .. i have apps and whatnot on my phone to track this but its a pain in the tail always pulling it out of the cubby or my pocket to check
Does anyone have a decent handheld or like a Garmin/tomtom style product they use that they could point me in the direction of? Also something that is not going to break the bank Thank you |

Magellan Meridian Gold is a dated but great handheld unit. Keep one on my boat and will do what your asking. You can still get them on Amazon and EBay pretty cheap. They also make a powered mounting bracket

Look for a bicycle computer or similar, there are plenty around.

Or a speed app on your smartphone. Like DigiHUD. It will do what you are asking and it is free.

i use an old smart phone for a digital speedo on my 58 truk, it's gotta be 12 years old
most old smart phones can be used for a small tablet and will have access to the play store over wifi i use didihud also, it has gps speedo and 3 odometer functions and i keep it plugged in to the charger mine is always on, it's got a serious screen burn zero on it :D use double sided tape and stick it right in the center of the steering wheel, unplugged of course it can also double as a stereo with a bluetooth speaker and a few gb of mp3s loaded on it |

I installed an android gps chip equipped tablet for $100. Once charged lasts 8 hours or more on one charge. It has the following features.
Vanko s7 on Amazon. Any tablet with built in gos chip will work fine. Full Golf GPS using the golf Canada app or other golf gps apps. Speedo MPs player bluetooth to Bluetooth speaker Internet when connected to phone hotspot, so email and internet. |
