I have PD+ batteries. I’m told they came stock with my 2016 club car precedent from a golf course fleet that was recently retired.

Trojan are the most easily available and the best prices I’ve found in my area. I can drive a little further to pick up US or Crown but they cost more. For what we use them for Trojans will last plenty long.

Not to hijack but what about Amp hr rating?
My crowns are 225AH, most others I have looked are are far less, 150-170 for most.

I know with my deep cycle marines for my Ulterra trolling motor, AH is the key, just dont know if it matters so much on golf carts?

You're comparing the Ah of a 6v battery to a 8v. The closest in Ah you're going to get to a 6v using an 8v would be 190 Ah. When going to 48v using 8v batteries you sacrifice a little range to increase pack voltage, unless you decided to use 8 6v batteries. Then you have to find a place to mount the 2 extra batteries and have more weight to carry around.

I recently replaced 10 year old 12v Interstates with US "REDS". Kept the Interstates watered and as clean as possible but it was a constant battle with cap leakage due to excessive gasing.

Running Duracell GC8's, date stamp 10/13. Good battery for the $ and I keep them clean and maintained. Would love to consider lithium next but I'm ignorant of that technology.

I offer my customer a selection of a few different 8V batteries. We can do 6 or 12 volt batteries as well, but I'm only mentioning the 8 volt flavors as this is 99% of what we install.

Crown CR-150 (non lifted cars, grandma cruising around short distances)
Crown CR-165 (normal neighborhood cruising on non lifted or lifted cars without upgrades)
Crown CR-190 (for upgraded drive systems)
Powertron P8000 (Same as CR-150)
Trojan T-875 (Same as CR-165)

I use more Crown CR-165s than anything else.
