Charger Receptacle
Replaced the OEM receptacle with this one. The positive cable was corroded, so decided to replace.
I have a DPI charger and it won't charge now? The wiring/install is pretty straightforward, so I'm at a loss? Didn't connect the fused grey wire, but didn't have the old one connected either (no OBC). Otherwise, it's wired just like old one. Cart in my sig |

Re: Charger Receptacle
Check the continuity at the fuse on the receptacle. If good, use your DVM and probe the receptacle pins from the front and see if you are getting the correct voltage (~48v or pack voltage).....

Re: Charger Receptacle
My meter doesn't have continuity setting, but I get pack voltage on each lug of fuse. But, nothing on the any of the 3 plug ins.
Pics of wiring below. Just like it was on OEM. |

Re: Charger Receptacle
If the fuse is good, and the wires are good, you should be getting pack voltage at the receptacle input. Must be a defective receptacle.

Re: Charger Receptacle
So you went from the Battery Pos (+) with the Red probe and to both sides of the the fuse with the Black probe and you got pack voltage? If so, then the fuse is good.
Now go to the front of the receptacle and probe the pins and see if you are getting pack voltage there. If so, receptacle is good and there is a charger issue. If no voltage preset, you have a bad connection and we will have to check out the connections further. |

Re: Charger Receptacle
The fuse is broke. I must have broke when tightening the nut, or it could have been broke to begin with. Either way, it's $30 gone. Replaced the end on my old cable and re-installed the OEM. All is good now and charging.
