Club Car Precedent motor in a DS Question
I have a couple of old DS cars and a bunch of parts left over from controller upgrades. I am considering changing my DS DC motor out with a Regen motor and a Curtis controllers out of a 2010 Precedent. I know I can handle the wiring part of it but was curious of all motors fit all club car axles or are there spline differences?
Any pitfalls you can warn me about Thanks Bill |

Re: Club Car Precedent motor in a DS Question
As far as splines are concerned, you're not gonna have a problem. All Club Car motors since the late 80s are 10 spline and mount the same way. As long as your DS cars have the IQ drive system, they'll be able to use any Precedent motor, regardless of whether the Precedent was an IQ or an Excel system.
