I wanted to update this. I am still having low battery run time on brand new batteries. I have also replaced the brakes wanted to make sure nothing was dragging. So I'm not sure what else to narrow down. My charger or controller??

That is a new pack. Have you placed 25-50 charges on it yet? They have to season and break-in before they will reach their full potential in regards to amp-hour capability.

(If your charger is "Fully" charging your batteries (~50.9v twelve hours after the charge has completed) then it is fine. DPI is a great charger)

Did a test, pack was at 53v after charge
53V after charge is low. It should be up around 58. What setting do you have your dpi on. Is it a Gen 3 or Gen 4 charger?

It's a Gen 3 charger, I forget the setting but it's what their support told me.

I know the batteries have to be broken in but the pack I had was giving me same run time. I'm beginning to think the charger isn't fully finishing. I ran the cart about 15% yesterday and put on charger and it showed finished after about 45 minutes

Contact DPI if you have a concern, but the pack will not have the full range until they are broken in.

The most common setting for a DPI Gen 3 is mode 2. The voltage should get up to 57.2v. Keep an eye on them and measure the voltage when the meter drops down to about 4 amps. That's when it should read 57.2v.

Further thoughts on this. A DPI 3 will keep a float charge of 52.8v on your batteries. This is probably what you were reading when you said 53v. Read it right before it turns off as mentioned above.

To check if the brakes are dragging: Try pushing your cart on flat paved road. You should be able to push it with one hand. If not your brakes or something is causing resistance.

Does your charger start charging at 17Amps?
