Trailer hitch
Can someone recommend a trailer hitch with a 2’’ receiver that can take some serious weight. Something that hooks to the frame. I read in a search that a guy towed his 10’ cargo trailer with this one.
Then there is the madjacks one that i am pretty sure i can make my self and it looks a lot easier to hook up. |

Re: Trailer hitch
I’ve never tried a frame mounted one but I’ve done a few of the rear seat mounted ones by request of buyers and they don’t hold much weight before bending the foot rest.

Just a thought. A frame mounted receiver is going to be a hard find and even harder install due to the strut shackles that mount at the very end of the frame. |

Re: Trailer hitch
Ok so maybe I will put the receiver in the front. I have a all sport 6” a arm lift. There is 2 bolts right in the front of it and there is a plate right behind that with 1 large hole and 2 smaller ones right behind it. Might be a better place to mount it. That will counter weight all the weight from the pack. It looks plenty sturdy enough.

I wonder if it’s the guy I know? He does it, but with the tongue jack down (has a wheel on it) to take the load off the ball. Even then it looks like it bent some. |

Re: Trailer hitch
I've pulled my 5x8' trailer loaded with probably close to 800lbs using my rear seat mounted hitched without issue or bending anything.
Honestly, how much weight are you wanting to tow and how often? If I were you and you wanted to keep the rear seat and not worry about bending anything. Get you a frame mounted hitch and use an receiver extender to have your ball located beyond the rear seat foot board. https://www.amazon.com/Towever-Hitch...%2C579&sr=8-16 |
