I guess since I plan on replacing motor/controller, etc... I don't necessarily need a running cart. Just one that has a good frame since I plan on doing a Spartan body swap anyways.

Well I picked up my 2001 Club Car DS. I think the first step is to remove the old body and replace with a camo Spartan body. While I have the body off I want to upgrade the motor, controller, etc... put on my 6” lift, new wheels/tires, and up grade the suspension. Any recommendations you guys have is appreciated.

Have the same cart, upgraded to a hunting cart. Got all my parts from Scotty B, Cartsunlimited, minus motor.

Alltrax 500 amp controller
AMD Beast motor
HD solinoid and HD FR switch
Built my own 2ga cables
3” jakes spindle lift, with 1” extra block up front to level it better.
22”x8” Swamplights up front, 22x11 in the back
DPI charger
Voltmeter

It gets the job done, runs about 16mph in the woods, 20-22mph with tired inflated on the road.

Solid setup imo

That sounds like what I want to do. I'm just trying to decide which motor I want to go with. So many options to choose from. I figure I'm gonna have to sacrifice speed to have more torque, which is OK with me. 18-20mph on the street is plenty fast enough.

How does the Beast motor do in the woods? I'm in Western Pa, we have some pretty steep hills out here.
