Re: 2015 EZ Go TXT 48v First Cart
Please check the batteries before spending $ on upgrades. Put the meter on the batteries & drive it where it usually slows down the worst, post readings here. If its 44 & below constantly while it's going slow, batteries are the problem.
Please dont buy upgrade parts to beat the life out of bad batteries, it wont go any faster & you'll be facing the biggest disappointment that blowing $700 on nothing can deal to you. No upgraded parts can solve battery problems that were strangling the stock system. (Not quoting exact prices, but you get the idea). |

Agreed. Those batteries are pretty much near the end of their career.

Re: 2015 EZ Go TXT 48v First Cart
I get it. While charging they are at 58v so the charger is working. When not charging and supposedly at full charge under no load they are at 50v.
When I get home tonight I'll test them going up the hill and post results. Thanks. |

I think we are all saying that the batteries are the likely cause of the poor performance. So you should prove their health one way or another before spending money on modifications. With new batteries, you might find the carts' performance is fine for your needs.

Re: 2015 EZ Go TXT 48v First Cart
Installed new batteries and made up my own 2g battery wires. It pulls very good now and has no issue other than you have to put it to the wood going up our steep hill. I'd rather not have to do that so I'll be purchasing a new controller, solenoid, and motor before too long.
Ordered wheels, tires and fender flares yesterday. Can't wait to get them on the cart. 12" STALKER Black Aluminum Wheels and 20x10-12" All Terrain Tires Combo |

Re: 2015 EZ Go TXT 48v First Cart
I have the same cart with new batteries and would barely go up my hills with me. Just did the navitas 600 amp 5kw motor upgrade and solenoid from fsip and I can now pull a 3k lbs pop up the hill. Absolutely insane and now a usable peice of equipment.
