1992 EX go no motion
i am looking at my neighbour's ezgo. Has all new batteries fully charged & a new solenoid. The pedal micro switch (on top of the rheostat) which is to power the solenoid is open/not working. If we put a jumper wire from switch to solenoid - as soon as the key is turned on it melts. If we jump power to the controller side of the solenoid with jumper cable from + on battery it moves.
have traced all wires per drawing and all appear correct. is it possible new solenoid is shorted (no terminals have continuity to casing). is it possible the control module is bad/shorted i didnt change solenoid - is diode backwards (line to - side) or is diode bad? |

Re: 1992 EX go no motion
Diode is backwards.
Banded end should be connected to the small terminal with wire coming from pedal switch. Pedal switch probably was taken out by diode being installed facing the wrong way. |
