2011 Ezgo Rxv resistor control module question
I have a 2011 ezgo rxv that I just acquired. It has new us batteries. Brought the cart home and unloaded it rode it roughly 1 mile and noticed an burning smell and heat coming out from under seat. When I stopped cart would not move again got it back home did some troubleshooting and found bad resistor control module. Replaced the control module tested it sitting on jack stands everything worked fine. Went to move cart out of shop and nothing. Removed the b- wire from resistor control module to controller and works fine. My question is any idea what would have burnt up new control module? Or can I completely remove it and run cart with out it? I understand that is it used to keep from over charging the batteries when they are fully charged.
