1996 Club Car DS Stopped Working

Hey Guys,

So I got this 1996 Club Car DS with my house 9 months ago. I've been slowing upgrading things on it since. About 2 weeks ago I bought a 5.5 HP AMD Motor for the cart and its been running crazy fast. I was doing 28 mph casually and 34 mph downhill. I'm running everything else stock on the cart (Controller, Solenoid, FNR Switch and stock cables) at the moment BESIDES Upgraded 12" Wheels with Low Profile tires. So the last couple times I've been running it for 15-20 minutes at 27 mph average theres an overheating smell coming from under the seat. Didn't have the brains to touch the FNR Switch, wires or Solenoid. Yesterday was the second time I smelled it after running for 15-20 minutes at average of 27 mph. Went to get in today and the cart won't move. The FNR switch feels a little stickier than usual. Any ideas what could be going on? Hoping I didn't fry my new motor.

Side Note. Bought Heavy Duty FNR Switch, Upgraded High Amperage Solenoid and 4 Gauge Wire set today. As well as a new Micro Switch for my potentiometer. Spoke to my local cart guy and seems to think this will fix the issue. "He said he think my FNR Switch got fried" Thanks in advance for any help
