Default Talking 48v chargers

Hey guys,

I have my old 36v heavy as all hell charger here that came with this 1996 txt. Since I am upgrading to 48v, I am told (and seems to make sense) that all I need to do is wire it up and charge with it.

Not a big deal. Seems like it would do the trick, just slower.

However, is there a good onboard charging setup, maybe the Summit 2? That does not require me to lug around a heavy charger to hook it up? Heh. Seems like there is a better way.

Looking for what you all use.

Thanks!

Russ

A 36 volt charger will not fully charge a 48 volt pack. The 36 volt charger turns off at around 46 volts. And a 48 volt charger turn off at around 60 volts

and yes go with a Summit 2 charger...IMO they are the best out there...light weight, bluetooth capable and they have a storage feature where you can leave it plugged in when your not using cart and it will automatically kick itself back on when the batteries need a charge...Besides the Stock Yamaha chargers that come with new carts they are all I keep in stock any more...

Okay, and the Summitt II looks like it mounts inside and all you do is run an electrical cord to it. Am I seeing that right?

Thanks!

The summit charger is available for all carts, you can order it with any plug for any cart... or yes you can also "hard wire" on board to your cart and not have to worry about the charger plug at all just the outlet side...

The Lester Summit II 650w is small lightweight and has a 4 yr warranty. I don't know of a better choice today

I have the Summit 2 charger and did it on-board (replacing the factory D-Style plug). It works great for my setup, and I do carry a small extension cord under the seat incase I need to plug it in somewhere.

It's installed in the open space on the driver side of the cart.

So you can buy this charger with adapters and charge a CC Precedent and Yami drive cart? (1 charger 2 carts?).

Thanks

Please don't get that crappy charger. They're just as bad as QE. Made in China, non-repairable JUNK. Don't care who's name is on it. Club Car has one called an ERIC that is quite similar and also garbage.

If the charger is lightweight, that's the lack of quality.
