2006 E-Z-GO Grinding
Hello everyone,
I recently bought a 2006 E-Z-GO TXT ST2+2E 36V golf cart. When I bought it, the guy told me it shutters going in forward and reverse. Which it did and felt like something wasn’t engaging. I’ve read some other forums and checked the following - Batteries are at 38.2 Volts, resting. Did have one bad battery and replaced it prior to getting the 38.2V reading. - Checked all of the wires to the motor and battery cables. All tight and no corrosion. - Checked the axles and hubs. No issues/wear/play in them - Replaced the input shaft. - Finally I pulled the diff cover off tonight and found metal shavings in there. I’m hoping they were just from the bad input shaft. Hoping someone out there had the same issue and it was a relatively cheap part to replace or something I'm missing. New rear ends are $$$$$ but if I have to put one in, can someone point me in the right direction on where to get a new one or a rebuild kit? |

Check the motor brushes, worn brushes will give intermittent jumping like that and left unrepaired can burn the commutator.
