Ready to upgrade
I’m finally ready to upgrade my 2008 txt/PDS cart. 23” tires, 6”lift. Been running stock controller motor and solenoid for about ten years now 😬. So what’s the best controller solenoid combo to get and where is the best place to buy one?

ScottyB with Carts Unlimited is where I would go if I were doing it.

Re: Ready to upgrade
The PDS is a great drive system. Use an alltrax XCT control and HD solenoid to unleash 30% more power and 23-25 mph on the taller tires.
Use the XCT for PDS in 400 or 500 amps depending upon the operating voltage and the type of use. Big tires create more motor load. So does added seating and hills or off road use. For the very best results use 6/8v batteries, XCT500PDS controller, 400 solenoid, 2g cable set, and an Admiral B4 long stack motor. You will enjoy the rides |

Re: Ready to upgrade
Customer told me he moved the main (-) cable on his cart to battery #5 so the controller saw 40v instead of 48 volts. He then asked his wife to drive it to the store for bread or beer or whatever... when she got back he got the upgrade approval

Re: Ready to upgrade
My wife is on board with it luckily. I’ll be ordering from Scotty soon. It’s long past due, she’s tired of it overheating and cutting off when we take it off-road. Going to get the alltrax 400 with fan kit and solenoid. I’ve already upgraded my cables a long time ago and the batteries are only 1 year old so I’m going to wait on the 48v conversion for now.

Re: Ready to upgrade
Get the 500 and turn it down. It comes with the fan and isn’t that much more.
