Re: Headlight issues w/ 97 ds need help
Ok i checked the volt reducer and 1 blk wire goes to ground block the other goes to a block next to solenoid that continues to B- on controller. I have 41volts to headlights using multi meter. Thats why my bulbs blew. I unhooked blk wire from B- and put it on neg #3 battery and meter reads 16.9 testing from pos on #2 battery to neg on #3 battery. When I test from #2 battery pos to ground block i get 15.9. Idk if this volt reducer is any good. Am I thinking right?

Not sure why you unhooked black wire from B- and connected to neg #3? You said you get 16.9v from pos on #2 battery to neg on #3 battery - pos #2 and neg #3 are connected, there cannot be any voltage between those terminal unless you have a bad cable - does the cart run? |

Re: Headlight issues w/ 97 ds need help
I unhooked it from b- to see if volts changed on voltage reducer. Yes cart runs great. I have an alltrax 500a w hd solenoid, 2 ga wires and d&s motor. I cant post pics on here as i tryed before and i cant get it to work. I just wanted to use the factory volt reducer since its right there instead of putting a 48 to 12 reduce on but i may just go ahead and do that. I just dont understand why im getting 41v thru the volt reducer to my lights. I know my lights are hooked up right just getting to much volts
Thats a 2x2 square box w/ a yellow triangle sticker on it that were calling a volt reducer. It may not even b one. |

Probably a reducer, but I'd like someone to ID it.
