Precedent build suggestions welcome
Hi all,
I picked up a nearly free (not running) 2010 precedent and sold mine to build up this one a little differently. Looking for suggestions on performance upgrades since it’s basically just a frame and needs everything. Looking for about 35mph on flat roads. As long as the range is minimum 20-25 miles, im fine with that. So far, the cart setup Im picturing starts like this: -4” jakes double a-arm lift (loved my allsports lift but no brake options) -hydraulic front brakes, and the stock rear drums although id be open to the rear mechanical discs, i just dont ‘think’ its necessary. -22x12 street tires/wheels -48v 105ah extremeteamcarts lithium pack with off-board charger The next pieces im less sure about....It needs motor and controller as they are both fried. Been looking on here at Navitas AC, alltrax, plum quick, and repairing the stock curtis 1510 which was an fsip 400a “rebuild”. Open to other suggestions please. Based on the reading ive done, its a little bit of chevy/ford/dodge type opinions. But also theres a ton of real world experience here. So some of the questions i have are: Is 105ah enough? Is an AC swap worth the extra cost? Would a 300 or 400 amp controller get the requested performance or is 500 necessary? Budget isnt a huge concern, but i also dont want to pay for performance/amperage that im not going to utilize. Thanks in advance. Trying to get the plan together before ordering all this stuff. |

Re: Precedent build suggestions welcome
Heard nothing but good things about the Navitas AC conversion. You may have to bump up a little with your ExtremeTeam Lithium set-up, but just let them know what they're going to be powering before you order and those guys will get you in the right direction.
