Re: EZGO Model H403 - Very slow uphill
Thoughts on this new battery charger? It being newer and likely more efficient, do you think it would still trip a GFI plug?

Re: EZGO Model H403 - Very slow uphill
I got the batteries swapped out. I ordered the newer charger but using the current one for now. I have not taken her out for a spin yet but I will this week. I also hooked up a 36v to 12v reducer so now I can hook up the LED lighting that I bought. I hope to have that finished up on Wednesday afternoon.

Re: EZGO Model H403 - Very slow uphill
New correct batteries installed. Here is what the meter shows when I go uphill. It returns to normal on a flat surface

Looks like the lowest voltage was about 34.4 and was at about 37.7 at the highest, so your 36V pack dropped about 3.3V. My guess is the motor was drawing 100A, or more, going up that hill. |

Re: EZGO Model H403 - Very slow uphill
So I guess that is normal for this cart? I don't understand all the voltage and amps and such.
I am trying to calculate how far and how long I can ride the cart. This will be for street riding only in our neighborhood but we have a decent amount of steep hills. I just dont want to go too far and everything die on me. I am going to monitor the voltage to make sure I don't go too low when I am stopped. I dont want to sink any more money into this cart so if I cannot go too long on it, I will look into getting a gas powered cart. |

Re: EZGO Model H403 - Very slow uphill
What runtime @75A are your batteries rated at? Your pedal time will be roughly half of that.

Re: EZGO Model H403 - Very slow uphill
No idea on the run time. This is those O'Reillys batteries I mentioned in that other thread.

Re: EZGO Model H403 - Very slow uphill
Got some info. See attachment for full specs on this part number. 132 min at 75A, so approx 66 min of run time?
