36v Series. Battery Problem or Something Else?
I’ve come across a 99 TXT 36V and this is my first experience with a series style EZGO. Batteries are 03/18 and pack voltage 12 hours after charge is 38.1
With cart in F or R the cart will stutter but wheel will not turn. Even with the rear in the air the passenger tire will barely spin in either direction. Pack voltage under load drops to 30.5-31V which I would think while a little low would be enough to at least spin the tires in the air. Before putting new batteries in I’d like to make sure it doesn’t have other issues as I really don’t NEED this cart. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: 36v Series. Battery Problem or Something Else?
I've got a 36v EZGo TXT and when I accelerate, it only drops to about 33-34 volts. I think you may have some battery issues. Do a full charge, let them rest for few hours and test each battery. Post each voltage. Then check each one under load. That may show you if one is bad.

Thanks Brad. I think they may all be bad.

You can try a couple of back to back charges...sometimes that will revive them for a while. Do a complete charge and let rest for a day, then repeat a few times. Seems like them being just 3 years old, should be some life left in them. What brand are they?

They are Duracell. Don’t have any maintenance history of course, but they were supposedly working fine a week ago.

I'm only mentioning this because it hasn't been mentioned...
Make sure the water level is good in each of the batteries. (distilled water only) |
