Default EZGO TXT 2013 48v speed upgrade (Newbie)

Hi everyone... I absolutely love the forum. I have a 2013 EZGO TXT 48V. I just installed brand new Trojan batteries today (with the help from a family friend since i have no idea what I’m doing). Battery life is great but I’m still topping out at 13 mph. Just wondering what my best option is to increase speed. Most recommendations are to take it to the dealer for a chip unlock.

Would doing that require me to trailer it there? Or can I simply take the chip out. Probably a dumb question but I currently do not have a trailer.

Any other recommendations or advice would be great! I don’t need it to go crazy fast, but getting to 19 or so would be fantastic.

Either you have to take the cart to the dealer or he needs to come to you. Get a dealer with a Passkey and a Curtis handheld Programmer to get you the max speed.

Thank you for the quick reply.

What would be a fair price for a dealer to do that?

I would say around $100 is normal.
