Great info, it is nice to see that I could do this upgrade in steps and not loose performance along the way or my marriage I'm currently getting about 22mph per GPS but I also have 50lbs on ya

I Have a 92 lifted Ezgo Marathon 400 Amp Alltrax, 2Guage Wires, 48 Volt Solenoid, 6 8 Volt Us Batteries and High Speed Electrical Motor. GPS 27 MPH Only Complaint at these Speeds The Steering Sucks The Faster U Go The More You Gotta Upgrade

I don't know at what speeds I'll see handling issues if ever but at 22/23MPH the Jakes Long Travel 6" lift kit works like a dream for me. Looking forward to riding at a comfortable speed some day and still having more throttle available when needed

You will handle much better at speed with a true working suspension than anyone (like me) with a basic lift kit. Long Travel is king

OK thanks for the information. From what I am reading then, with my set up, I am not going to lose a lot from the bigger tires and wheels, but I am going to put more wear on my motor. And to upgrade, I basically have to change everything on a series cart? And go to 48v? On my old 36v marathon (82 and 87) I was under the impression that upgrading options were slim. Thanks again for all the info guys.

Jut because Jim does, won't mean you will. He can do anything. He's not your average ezgoer. he's the man

Keith, you ever get an upgrade? I have a '91 marathon that I'm lifting and putting bigger tires on next week and will want to upgrade motor next. What all did you do?
