washed CC Precedent, now wont move
Just washed 2005 Club Car Precedent and now it wont move. Have I ruined something, blown a fuse, or does it just need to dry out? Should I have it on the charger during this time?
thanks, Steve |

Welcome Steve. Let it dry out overnight and should be fine in the morning. Did you wash the battery bucket area? |

Re: washed CC Precedent, now wont move
If you washed the Forward & Reverse switch there's a good chance you got water in it. It's easy to correct...
IF TIME DOESN'T WORK IN YOUR FAVOR TO GET YOUR CART RUNNING AGAIN: Just pop the switch up from it's housing, remove the three wires, (noting position of the switch and wires,) and squeeze the casing sides to open it up, (paying close attention to what is what inside.) Dry it out and reassemble it and put it back. |

What a great site!! My wife came home shortly after I caused the cart problem. She could see I was depressed. I just read her your replies to my question. She said "well then, perk up!" I did perk up. Thank you all for your replies. It sounds like you are in agreement that it needs to dry out and will then run. I appreciate your advice and expertise.

Re: washed CC Precedent, now wont move
Couldn't wait for it to dry on its own, so used Scuba's excellent switch picture. Took switch apart, but found no moisture within. (that switch is quite a task for large fingers) Put blow dryer on it briefly just in case. Reassembled. Reverse buzzer goes off as it should, but will still not move forward or back. Any other ideas as to what else might be causing this? Had to have something to do with washing it, since I drove it to the spot where I washed it.

Re: washed CC Precedent, now wont move
Would I need to dry that out or would it need to be replaced? How can I find out if that is the problem?
