Keihin Carb question
I am cleaning the Keihin carb on my FE290. It is in pretty rough shape. I had to use an easyout to remove the main jet. I am looking to replace it with a new one. I live in Iowa and the cart is from Colorado. My question is ....What is the number on the main jet on the FE290 engine? I am looking for the number for the low altitude application.
Keihin has numbers from 50 to 135. Just wondering which #for this application. TIA |

Re: Keihin Carb question
I would use anywhere from a 78 to 82 depending on your elevation.
If you have the cart modified or run higher rpms than the stock setting then you can jump up a couple to like an 84 or 86 to provide a little more fuel in the higher rpm range, and it will help the engine run cooler. |
