G14 Pulsar Coil
Can someone show me where the pulsar coil on a G14 is located at? Picture would be great. Rookie status.

Re: G14 Pulsar Coil
I tested mine to the procedure outlined in this post searching the forum.
They are parts of the Magneto. Search you wire diagram as well, it is available here. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-y...magneto-2.html Checking the pulsar coil (unplug the white/red and white/green wires "can be done at the CDI/harness location, but checking at the wireharness connections out of the engine also will tell you if your harness is bad"), with a volt meter, you should have 14ohms +/- 10%. Also check for continuilty (either wire) to ground, there should not be any. Charge coil-disconnect the brown and black wires, should read 350ohms +/- 10%, also check continuity to ground, there should be none. Hope that helped alittle. |
