Solenoid click 6 times won't go
Hi, First problem I have had with my 2010 EZ GO RXV 48V Model # 606600G01 S/N 5089689.
I ran it real hard to get the mail before it started to rain about 1/2 mile . Suddenly it stopped, then I heard a POP, opened the cover and 2 caps on 2 batteries had opened up. Tried to go and it would not move. When you turn the key to forward you can hear 5 or 6 clicks (sounds like it's coming from a solenoid. And that's all it does. Towed it home and check the batteries and they all seem ok, also checked all the battery connections. Any ideas ???? THANKS |

Re: Solenoid click 6 times won't go
this seems to be a hot topic and the tech guys might be pretty busy helping the others diagnose their problems lol because there have been several threads about the rxvs shutting down lately. Maybe solenoid is bad. Mine locked up couple weeks ago but luckily it was just loose connections from corrosion.

I'm not expert but my first thought is did you break the battery pack apart when you checked them? Do you have a way to put a load on the batteries and test them individually?

Did you look really close at the batteries especially the one with the blown caps. Check for cracks in the case. Look underneath also. What is battery pack voltage and each individual battery voltage? Don't have to disconnect them for this test.
Sounds a little like a battery explosion although usually the cart would be dead after, no solenoid clicks. |

Batteries where all around 12.60 but don't have a load tester to test under a load.
