Used motor or armature
I have a 96 DS, 36 v, VGlide resistor cart with 2.97 hp GE motor. The splines inside the motor shaft are worn, so the cart sounds more like a gas than electric.
I am looking to get a replacement armature or a used motor if possible. No need for a lot of speed, our campground has a 15 mph speed limit. Thanks for any help. |

Re: Used motor or armature
Your best bet is going to be find a used motor or send your motor to plum quick and have them rebuild. I tried a few months ago to find a new or replacement armature and had no luck except for a place that would rewind them and it cost as much as a new motor. You could also try new brushes in the motor that you have if you have the ability or confidence to change them yourself (not hard at all). I replaced the brushes in my motor and it made quite an improvement in the performance.

Re: Used motor or armature
Also with PQ they will send you a new motor (few extra dollers extra) , then refund core charge when they get yours . That way U are not down .

Re: Used motor or armature
easier and cheaper to find used charger, if you can keep the old one at least you,ll have a few parts but to buy a new transformer thats almost as much as the charger and in some cases more.............................................. ...

Re: Used motor or armature
Thanks for the suggestions. The PQ option looks good, have to do some more checking but that is at the top of the list.
