Imagine being able to go back in time when HD was in deep financial trouble and listening in at the board room. The accountants are telling the board that they are sinking and can't keep both a motorcycle line and a golf cart line if they want to stay in business. They highly recommend dumping the bikes and focusing on the golf cart line.

Because the management had vision, they chose to keep plodding along with bikes that were noisy and left oil stains on the floors and sell off the golf cart line to a little company called ParCar.

I love my HD Electra Glide and I'm so glad they chose wisely. But who know what golf carts would look like and sound like today had they chosen the alternative.
