Building this cart
I got this cart in pieces and I'm trying to figure out what rear end this is and what size belt I need. It has a 3/4" wide belt and I don't think this is right.

Re: Building bthis cart
That's the 1984-1996 counterclockwise Club Car rear end. Looks like the stock driven clutch for the 1984-1987 carts.

Re: Building bthis cart
Here's some with the belt off, motor is not bolted down. When I got this the motor was laying on it's side. When I got It up Right. The carb and cylinder was full of Oil. Then It didn't have compression so I pulled the valve cover and the rocker was off the push rod. Fixed that, Cleaned it out and It runs good.

Re: Building this cart
Got the secondary freed up and working. This has 3 positions where the shifter shifts on the rear end. one to the passenger side of the cart, one straight up, and one to the driver side of the cart. The position to the passenger side is like park the wheels will not move. The one straight up goes forward, and the one to the driver side goes forward. Whats up with that. Shouldn't it have reverse?

Re: Building this cart
You have a syncro stuck!
I know that you don't have many hills in F.L., but if you can find a decent one, drive UP the hill in forward, (or neutral) stop, then coast backwards, then quickly JAM IT in reverse! (to the passenger side) It may have a pretty loud, bone chilling "clunk", but it's been a proven way to get the syncro freed up without disassembly. |

Re: Building this cart
none of the three positions are neutral. so all the way to the passenger side is reverse? what is straight up? and what is all the way to the driver side. I am shifting this at the rear end. No cable hooked up
