Default Marathon 350 rebuild ?

About a month ago I rebuilt a robin350 engine with new pistons, rings, all seals and gaskets. Well it smokes white smoke when it's in a bind . My grabpa keeps telling me the rings need to seet. What's ya'lls opinion? I have change oil with exactly 1.5 quarts also. Also the kart is slightly lifted. I'm not for sure on what size...

You could have oil in the muffler.

I'd say "grabpa" is right. we went down this road around a month ago. they have yet to come up with a way to fix not honing the cylinders when rebuilding. well other than taking it apart and doing it how we like to call "the right way".

probably not if you keep oil in it, might gum up the muffler some
