Default g16a engine

Hi guys any difference between jn6 and jr3 engine one i think is a 1997 and the other i think is 2002 they look the same to me.

They're the same. Under the air filter box on top of the block, 301cc should be embossed on the block.

Thanks Dave yes they both are 301cc just wondered about the jn6 and jr3 must have something to do with the model year.

Gem , Not sure if you are looking for a new engine but I have a g16a I just put a jr6 in .When I got it it had jr7 on it 357cc . Same engine as the jn6 & jr3 but has 357cc instead of the 301cc . price was the same also . Only mod was the wire to the oil level switch . I think the JR6 engines were for 2000 and up models . Just thought I would share in case you were looking to by a crate engine .

I doubt that the jn6-xxxxxx engine is still being produced. It doesn't make much sense.
