Default 1990 G2 Electric

Wondering if anyone can help with speed/pedal issue

I recently purchased a 1990 G2 Electric to replace my G2 gas.
Wasn't running but figured out that part, now it works but when I press the pedal all the way, the cart just stops.

If I go up to about 80% of pedal, all is good. Higher than that, cart just stops.

I have checked the resistor coil and I have continuity on all of the 5 pads.

Anyone has a clue?

All the way should short out all of the coils and present full battery voltage to the motor. Sounds like you have a missing connection somewhere there or the throttle circuit to activate that last speed range is not working.

Check to make sure the sweeper arm doesn't go past the last contact to the point where it is not flush with final contact...the overlap allowance is only .04 ~ .08 in...if outside that range contact will drop out.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check the cart out this weekend and report back.

Connection seems good.

Problem is the coil seems to heat up really high.

Does anyone know how to test the coil?

Thanks
