2009 YDRE factory 12v wiring ???
Long time EZ Go guy, so please excuse the “obvious question:!!
New to me 2009 YDRE (4x12V)… missing batteries and bad controller… Have replaced the controller and flakey accelerator switch Assy. Got it running, charging and acting like a golf cart… I have a black wire (with battery lug sized connector) comes from the factory 12 v reducer….. just being careful and cautious to avoid “magic smoke” leak…. Does it go to the pack negative or somewhere else ??? A free trip to the BGW beer fridge for some help !! Thanks !!! |

Re: 2009 YDRE factory 12v wiring ???
My two YDRE carts both have lights but not from the factory. The dealer installed them. If you have a 48 to 12 volt reducer, then you need to scope out the wiring to it. Mine have five wires - 48V pos, 48V neg, 12V pos, 12V neg, and a trigger wire that turns it on. The 48V pos goes to the positive of the battey with a fuse in series with it. The 48V neg goes to the battery negative. The 12V pos and neg go to to all of the lights - headlights through a switch. The trigger wire goes to the ignition switch wire which is switched 48V.
