Default ClubCar windshield

So I had to share I purchased one of the cheap amazon china snap on windshields for my precedent. Came out of the box nice looked great but the first time I drove the cart it was wobbling everywhere and just pissed me off, I hate rattles and this one certainly was full of them

So doing the thing I hate most I bought again but I purchased the real deal from club car the AS4 DOT, thick windshield 47638400001

https://www.clubcar.com/en-us/club-c...dot-windshield

and you just get what you pay for. Really solid, great fit and finish thing just looks and acts like it should.

So I share this in hope of anyone looking to purchase a quality item doesn't fall in my steps and purchase something that is just less than ideal.

I buy a lot of crap off of Amazon but when it comes to stuff like parts for cars, carts, ect I never go Amazon/Ebay. Even if the website such as Golf Cart King sells there. I always go direct. I just feel better. I have found there is a reason stuff is cheaper

I agree it's pricey for plexi but there is a huge structural difference. Its very rigid and the hinge is so much better, the bottom rubber seal keeps air from the bottom up and in and the wind deflector I thought wouldn't do anything makes a huge difference when I am going 35 down the road to my house from the club.

I just thought I would share, so often when we buy something that is s h i t we need someone to remind us not to be cheap a s s ba stard s.

Pricey indeed (but half the price of the one for my SXS While I don't like it either, I have come around to the "buy once, cry once" philosophy. Quality costs something for a reason; good for you for doing it right and posting this up

I have that same Club Car windshield. I have been very happy with it. I especially like the hinge design.

Any thoughts on where to purchase one of the Club Car D.O.T. windshields at a price (hopefully much) less then the $350 MSRP?

Like a bunch of OEM stuff finding it in stock is the hard part.

I paid list for mine , not happy about it but it came fast. None of the site sponsors had them, but this place did, here is the item number as well to help you search for it Part # 47638400001

Club Car website says MSRP is $350.

Dealer I spoke to said MSRP is $451 and sent me the attached screenshot from the dealer portal to prove it.

That’s a pretty hefty price tag for a windshield.
