Default KF82 balance shaft installation??????

I am rebuilding a 1989 KF82 that self destructed. Connecting rod went and destroyed the gear on balance shaft. do i have to line up that shaft a certain way when installing. I did see the 2 dots on the crank gear and cam gear that have to be lined up when installing. Any info would be great.

Thanks, Brian in Texas
