On another note, that document you've shared has the complete gas tank information including the 1988 stuff! The 1988s used the same tank as the 1984-1987, but had a different fuel pump. I'll add that info to my graphic.

Sorry. I didn't look real close at the pdf I shared, I've not owned a cart that old and probably never will. I'll try to look closer the next time I share. I hope all works out for you who need a tank

I just put a 92+ tank in my 86. Fit fine and works great. All I had to do was remount the fuel pump.

Only issue with mounting the tank I had besides having to remount the fuel pump was I didn't have the hold down straps on my cart. I ended up using 3 lashing straps from Harbor Freight to secure the tank down worked great and is held in securely.
