Something really is not adding up here. Each 12v battery should be 12 volts MINUMUM. Fully charged a 12v battery should be between 12.7-12.8 depending on the battery.

This is one of my 12v batteries

I’m really not sure where to go from here. I really mean no disrespect and want to help. I’m not trying to be rude... my initial thought is a bad solenoid but we’ve really not done anything to prove or disprove that. I’ve asked a lot of questions and asked you to check a few things and the only real info I’m getting back is that the pack is dead (48 volts).

As a reference so you have a comparison, my batteries are about 3 years old. I just got back from about a 7 or 8 mile ride and my pack was still nearly 50v as I parked it in the garage. If yours is fully charged and only reading 48 then there’s a problem. And if your measurements of the individual batteries really are what you say they are then that’s an even bigger problem. You said 3 of the 4 batteries are 9v and one is 10v that’s only 37 volts. Which won’t be enough to drive or energize the solenoid or controller

Maybe let’s start over. Please measure voltage from the battery pack main positive terminal to the main negative terminal. And the voltage of every individual battery. Can you tell us how you are measuring your voltage and what kind of meter you’re using? Pictures may help as well.

the charger is working . battery pack up to 48volts .

Thanks for th e help I'm just not up too snuff on these cars Thought maybe i could try. I'll have to take it to shop. You were a big help . maybe when i get the batteries up to where they should be. I changedthe 6 8 volt bat for 4 /12 volt. and that may have screwd everything up.
Thanks again for your help.

It may be better if you can just take it to a shop for repair if you don’t understand how to do the basic tests I’m asking. Do note that this is the easy stuff, to start a diagnosis (probably not even the diagnosis itself unless a batter is bad). less than a minute total. If you have to start testing wires at the controller to make sure it is getting all the signals it is supposed to, it’s going to get much more complex.

Good luck with it, I wish I could have helped more. But communicating via this type of format is less than ideal

The diode between the 2 small terminals? Or the resistor between the 2 large terminals?

I’d pull the solenoid and test it out of the cart. It doesn’t sound like it is working correctly.

it was the only on on the selonoid between the large post. there was nothing on the small post. the dioed or resister, i'm not sure which it is. it is a large one with in a plasstic tube with o ring connections going on the large bolts
