Allsports High 5" drop axle lift kit
Does anyone have this lift on any of their carts. Are you satisfied with it and what size tire and wheel do you run? What is the offset on your wheels? I am thinking that this is the lift I will use< iwould just like to get a little feedback on it first. I would like to run 25"x10" tires on my 1995 Medalist. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to comment. I have a 480 amp controller and 2g wires throught with the HD F/R and HD Sol. Almost forgot, I am running a 48volt system.
Thanks, David J. |

Re: Allsports High 5" drop axle lift kit
Madoc, They of a 5" drop axle and a High 5" drop axle. The High 5" claims to accept a max tire of 27"x10.5 It lengthens the wheelbase by 3". That is if I am reading it correctly. It also widens the stance. Do you feel that you have enough torque with your setup. I really want the 25" tires but I don't want my torque to suffer to much. What do you think?

ole i must have the regular 5". i have some moderate hills and feel no slow down when going up them. torque is good , can almost lift the front, but can't climb trees like some can.

Madoc, Sounds good. I shouldn't loose to much going with a slightly larger tire then. I have moderate hills as well. I will be putting the new batteries in it and have it up and running when I get back from offshore. I can't wait.

You should be ok and the lift kit is a good one. You can always upgrade to suit your needs. Hope it works out good for you.

Re: Allsports High 5" drop axle lift kit
Another question! I got a 96 ezgo like yours. But im running 36 volt with factory everything. i jotta jakes lift but am gonna buy the lift like yours tommorrow. The allsport lift says it can fit up to a 27 but i was wondering how much room does your have with the 26's left. do you think i could put a 27 inch tire and still be able to flex good with out scrubbing. if not i'll put the same size tire yours has if yours has good flex room but if its to close to call i'll put 25's. I do alot of riding through the woods to get to our duck impoundments. rather have more room for flex but bigger is always better if it will fit!!!!!! You think the 36 v will hold up for a while? or will it be nessasary to upgrade to 48v immediately? when i say i ride alot i mean one to two times a day for about 20 minutes straight not really allday. i need to upgrade my controller because it'll get really warm riding at slow speed and sometimes will cutt out but then wait and it'll start back. thanks for any info you can help me out with
