Default Electric EZGO speed problem...100% or nothing

Hey folks, I'm new here so if there is already a thread on this please lead me to it. Ok, I have a '99 Ezgo TXT 36V I primarily use for hunting and something has happened where the speed is either 100% or nothing. No matter how slow you push the pedal, once you hear the click it is gone full throttle. I've recently upgraded the controller but it was doing this before...now it's just worse. I'm ready to get it knocked out so hopefully y'all can help, thanks!

The throttle input is ITS not 5k-0 or 0-5k. Are you sure your controller has the same input program?

What kind of controller is it? How & when did this problem all start?

the controller is a BU500L. As to when it started, I'm not positive...but I do know it's much more noticeable with the new controller and I used to think it was more like from 0 to 50% and then could accelerate to 100%, but now it's definitely 0-100%.

One friend of mine mentioned that it might be the plunger or something under the throttle pedal??

thanks!

Not while i've had it...3 yrs. But before I got the controller, weird stuff was happening like just not going sometimes for no reason, and creeping off slowly without hitting the pedal...but haven't had those problems since the new controller.

Check the ITS output at the throttle box on the black & white Wires should be about 0.5 volts and 1.5 at wide open throttle (wot)

ok, I set my volt meter at 50 on DCV and pulled the black and white wires off the controller and tested each with and without throttle. The black wire read 1 volt at no throttle and 22v with...and the white wire looked to be a tad less, just under 1v at rest and 21v with.
